Do I need NDIS funding for this service?
Catheter care is typically funded under “Improved Daily Living” in your NDIS plan. If you’re not sure whether you have the right funding, we can help you check and guide you through the process.
Can you support both SPC and IDC?
Yes. Our registered nurses are trained to support participants with both suprapubic and indwelling urinary catheters, including transitions between them where clinically appropriate.
How often does a catheter need changing?
Most catheters are changed every 4 to 12 weeks depending on type, clinical guidelines, and the participant’s individual needs. Your care plan will outline a schedule tailored to your situation.
What happens if there's a complication or infection?
Our nurses are trained to spot early warning signs and respond quickly. For serious issues, we coordinate directly with your GP, urologist, or hospital team for the right clinical response.
Can you teach my family or carer?
Absolutely. We provide practical training and ongoing support so family members and carers feel confident managing daily care between nursing visits.
